This article will focus on Breast Cancer and the Role of the High Doses of Vitamin C.
The treatment of Breast Cancer developed dramatically over the last few decades in all aspects of Oncology Care involving surgery, chemotherapy, targeted agents, hormonal treatments, and a combination of these interventions. These changes resulted in improvements in the survival and disease control of Breast Cancer as compared to the older treatments.
Nevertheless, the treatment of Breast Cancer still shows better results in terms of survival and local recurrence prevention, especially in advanced or metastatic disease.
Patients who develop recurrence or metastases from Breast Cancer present a real challenge to oncologists and surgeons based on the need to treat these patients with a more aggressive approach with limited success for many patients.
For that reason, the use of The High Dose of Vitamin C was studied and tested against breast cancer cells to find a natural support for these patients and help their fight against Breast Cancer. This does not mean giving up the main oncology treatments (chemotherapy, radiation, targeted agents, and hormonal treatments). The ideal approach is to run both treatments together to achieve the best results of both approaches so long as the Natural approach does not interfere with the main medical approach and it is also effective.
A New Research on Oncology published in 2019, Found that administering High Doses of Vitamin C can Inhibit the Migration and Invasion of Breast Cancer Cells through suppression of a genetic process called EMT or Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition. For more details on this research check this link https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31571901/
In conclusion, research on Breast Cancer Cells proved the benefit of using high-dose Vitamin C in the suppression of migration of Breast Cancer cells to distant sites which means the possibility of reducing the chances of the spread of this disease.
